The ongoing internship program at Tiendaan.com continues to provide valuable real-world experience for Computer Science trainees from the College of Communication and Information Technology (CCIT) of the University of Northern Philippines (UNP). Under the guidance and supervision of Mr. Arthur Aubrey Alviar of CSA Business Consultancy, trainees Rodini Vince Rosario from BSCS 3A together with Jomarie Tijada and Deuzwendrick Bobias from BSCS 3B are actively contributing to the platform’s content management and digital operations.

As part of their responsibilities, the trainees are tasked with researching and uploading local products from different municipalities and cities of Ilocos Sur to the Tiendaan.com platform. Their work includes creating product thumbnails, writing descriptions, generating meta titles and meta descriptions, designing banners, and organizing products for preorder listings. These tasks support the platform’s goal of promoting local Ilocano businesses and products to a wider digital audience.

The trainees also work on designing Today Deals banners, preorder visuals, and promotional assets that reflect the culture and identity of Ilocos Sur. Through the use of digital tools such as Canva, Figma Make, Google Stitch, and AI-powered technologies, they continue to improve their creativity, technical skills, and understanding of visual presentation in e-commerce platforms.

Beyond design and content creation, the internship exposes the trainees to practical lessons in website optimization and digital asset management. Mr. Alviar continuously shares industry-based knowledge, including the importance of optimizing image file sizes for faster website performance, organizing product information effectively, and maintaining detailed metadata for improved functionality and presentation. These experiences allow the trainees to apply classroom knowledge to actual industry practices.

The hybrid setup of the internship, which combines remote and on-site work, has also helped the trainees develop discipline, adaptability, collaboration, and time-management skills. Despite balancing academic responsibilities such as thesis preparations and coursework, the trainees continue to complete their assigned tasks efficiently while gaining valuable exposure to professional work environments.
